Differences
Differences, differences and differences. So many of them. Anywhere and everywhere you see you will find them.
Difference in looks is understood but in opinion, in taste, in temperament, in likes and dislikes. Not even siblings are identical inspite of been brought up in the same environment. Twins too have some different aspects to their credit even if they look identical. I guess this is what makes world so interesting. I had read a saying somewhere,
“If everyone was like you, this world would have been a boring place.”
One of the most beautiful sentences I have come across. But I am not here to only marvel at differences in human behaviour. The ironical thing is that although we know no one can be exactly like us we try to find out like-minded people. This mountain of differences is as big and evident as Himalayas. Yet many of us don’t accept it. That is the reason parents try to mould their children according to their wishes. What else is culture but a way of living life that has evolved over a period of time? Many people like to live their lives according to the way our culture tells us. But some people do not agree to it. They find some other way of living better than ours. What is the harm in it? Why are they criticized as to being under some Foreign influence? Can’t we decide as to how we want to live our life?
But the funny thing is that when we don’t want to change other people to be like us we still hunt for like minded people. If I meet two unknown people I will feel close to that person who has same interests like me among them. The funnier thing is that when none of the above is applicable i.e. the other person is drastically different from me it might not act as repelling factor. That is the reason there is a saying “Opposites attract”. But of course after attraction they might not stay together for long but that is a different matter. Or I might try to replicate it, because some good qualities are infectious.
Only god can create such a complicated thing called human brain and only he can understand it. I give up.
