Trying to think

Today as I raise a toast on your wedding
The memories flutter around like butterflies
I remember how we first met
Bumped into each other one day
I almost fell off my scooter
I turned towards you to yell
But was silenced by a pair of beautiful innocent eyes
From that day you became my friend
Never realized how the time won our races
Scattered around me are the years of running behind the butterflies
Of sitting at the pool watching the fish swim
Even after growing up when I talked about my problems
Your silence was more comforting than the words of others
And one day you dragged me to show me something
Turned out you wanted to introduce me to your love
I was still uncertain, not ready to let you go
But when I saw you both wagging your tails in the same rythm
It was a sign I could’nt ignore
I wish you both live happily ever after
And when my child will be a foster mother to one of your kids
I hope she too will learn the same thing
That you should climb every mountain
Because there is a bone waiting for you at the top of it.
